Our History

Hashi Group of Companies have their foundation in the registration of Hashi Empex Limited in Kenya.  That Company later changed its name to Hashi Energy Limited. The registration of the company was the vision of Mr. Ahmed Hashi, who saw great business potential in remote, unfavorable terrains and unstable states within the surrounding regions.

At its initial stages, Hashi Energy Limited started out as a Kerosene distributer for Chevron Kenya, using Kerosene jerry cans to supply these African regions (Rwanda and DRC Markets) and eventually in the mid 90’s the company acquired depots in western Kenya to better serve the local market as well as the export market within East and Central Africa.

In 2008, the company rebranded itself to Hashi Energy Ltd, with the core business being importation, distribution, and marketing of petroleum products through imports, exports, bulk trading, petroleum depots, distribution networks, and service stations.

To date, under the umbrella of HEHL, the company has expanded its activities further by venturing into the various geographical locations, as well as increasing the portfolio of services and products to include remote logistics, engineering and food supply.

At Hashi Energy Group we pride ourselves for being the first indigenous African Company to have won a prestigious United Nations Fuel Supply contract in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2015 and we have continued to grow our clientele in Governments, NGOs and the private sector.

We aim to achieve satisfaction of our client needs with the aid of skilled workforce, cutting-edge technologies and modern infrastructure all the while ensuring fast, safe and reliable delivery of the highest quality.
